So he could do it all damn day with that other bitch but the one time Jazzy needed to let loose she couldn't? Because of her dad who was probably too hungover to care? She nodded though. "I understand. I'm sorry."

"Don't be sorry." He kissed her again. "How about this." He sat up. "You meet me back here as soon as it's safe for you to leave tonight. We can make good on this little promise."

"Yeah." Jazzy smiled up at him. "I'd like that." She kissed his hand.

"Good." He laughed. "Now go before I get attacked by a chainsaw."

"See ya Jacob." She laughed, kissing his cheek then getting up, going home. Helping me feel better as best she could. My headache wouldn't leave this time.

Kyle came down not near as hungover, just. Depressed almost. He could never take back the last words he said to me and it was eating at him. "Hey." He looked at them both.

I looked at him. "Hey." I tried to smile but it was hard.

"Hey Kyle." Jazzy said softly.

"Hungover?" He almost laughed. "You drank a lot more than I did."

"Yeah." I sighed. "I just. I miss her so much." I started crying again.

"Dad I know we all do." Jazzy rubbed his back. "But you need to lead the city still. You have to try not to get too ripped up."

"Drinking will only make it worse." Kyle tried, sitting down next to them. "If you want me to I'll find somebody else to run things for a bit? I don't think anybody would blame you."

I thought, then shook my head. "No I got this. Harley wouldn't want me stopping." I sighed.

"It's Christmas tomorrow anyway." Kyle tried to smile. "Jaxon and Chloe are coming over. Mom said something about it a few days ago."

"I've always hated Christmas." I sighed. Leaning back. "But you guys will get to meet your cousin Alex. He's 15 now I think."

"Hey dad can Jacob come over? It's Christmas. I don't want him being alone." She looked at him.

"Sure." I tried to smile. "He can."

"Taylor too?" Kyle smiled, forced but there.

"Taylor too." I looked at him. "She can live here if you want instead of that old shack you keep running off to with her if you want. We have plenty of spare rooms."

Jazzy almost wanted to ask if Jacob could live here too. But she held back.

"She can?" Kyle smiled even further. Not so forced this time. "Thank you."

"Yeah." I nodded. managing a real smile. Small but real. "Love you both."

"Love you dad." Jazzy hugged him.

"Love you both too." Kyle laughed, hugging the both of them. Slowly pulling back because that hug would be awkward if held too long. "I'll go get Taylor now." He stood up, half running to go find her. "Taylor? I got you a Christmas gift of sorts."

Taylor looked up. "Don't I get that every day?" She laughed.

"I'm gonna go tell Jacob. Might spend Christmas Eve with him too." Jazzy said.

"Go ahead." I shrugged.

Wow. She laughed, nodding. Kissing his cheek before running off to find Jacob. She went to the back door, knocking.

"Well this one is better." He smirked. "How about you leave this little run-down shack behind and come live with me?"

Jacob opened the door fairly quickly, smiling. "That was quick."

"Really?" Taylor smiled. "I'd love that." She hugged him. "Thanks. It gets cold in here."

"My dad said I could spend Christmas Eve with you and bring you to my house for Christmas tomorrow." Jazzy grinned.

"I know it does." He laughed, wrapping his arms around her. "I didn't know how well Mom would handle you moving in then earlier Dad was just like why not so I wasn't giving him a chance to double think it."

"Really?" He stepped aside, letting her through. "No chainsaws involved?"

"Thank you." Taylor smiled, kissing his cheek. "Your the best."

"My dad doesn't own a chainsaw, Jacob." She laughed, hitting him lightly on the arm. Taking off her coat.

"I know it." He laughed again. "But I'm only as good as my girl."

"SO?" Jacob laughed again. "He's the king of the city. He could probably be like AYE BITCHES NEED A CHAINSAW and one would be handed to him on a silver platter."

"N'aww." Taylor laughed, kissing his chest.

"Your like the coolest guy in the city so." Jazzy laughed. "You have social order on your side."
