Tainted Honor

"I love you. I don't just like you." I pulled him close to me, rubbing his side. 

"You're safe." Josh said softly. "He won't hurt you. I won't let him."

"No.. Not that.." I choked on my words.

"Where's mommy and daddy?" She asked, looking at him.

"You know you can talk to me." I tried again. "Please? You're scaring me."

"They're taking care of your brother. They'll be home soon." He smiled softly.

I stared ahead of me, suddenly standing. "You know what no. Not today." I growled, shifting and running out. Running out of the city. Following Kyle's scent. I was going to kill Taylor and I didn't even care.

"Who are you?" Jasmine whispered.

"Josh." He smiled again. "I'm your.. Uncle. In a way."

I found them eventually. Walking. I crept up behind them, lunging and clamping down hard on Taylor's neck, clawing into her back. Blood flew everywhere and she didn't even have the chance to scream as I clawed out her eyes.

"Dad!" Kyle screamed, trying to pry home off but it was too late. "Stop .. please.." He nearly sobbed, trying to stop the blood but it was no use.

I finished ripping her into pieces, shifting back. "How does it fucking feel!? To loose someone you love?!"

Kyle shifted, jumping on Daniel and trying to claw into his flesh. Not even bothering to answer his question.

I quickly shifted, rolling him over and digging my claws into his fur. snarling and blocking his attempts to bite me with my own teeth.

Kyle whimpered, blood raining down his shoulder. Soon just stopping, his body falling limp under Daniels. Surrendering.

I snarled and got off, shaking head. "I just don't get it Kyle." I sat down, looking down.

"I still hate you." He growled.

"Kyle come on." I sighed. "Why? What did I do?"

"You killed her!" He snapped. "First Patch. Now her! You kill everybody I love and don't even give a shit about it!"

"What about us! Your family!? Why can't you love us? Your sister loves you, wants to see you.. wakes up for you!! Every day! Why can't you appreciate what we give you!" I snapped. "It's the middle of a zombie apocalypse. Theres a ton of families eating eachother to survive. You are pretty damn lucky Kyle."

"How am I so damned lucky?" He glared at Daniel, watching his every move. "I can't even keep one person I care about alive. I don't give a damn about your love or sis's love."

"Why not? Some crazy idea patch planted into your head?" I snarled. "You can't just move on from him and focus on the people who are practically begging for your love?"

"I loved him! He WAS my dad!" He screamed. "You.. you are this little piece of shit that walks in after 17 years trying to act like you own me."

"I was there for 6 years before that. Then you got taken." I shook my head. "He wasn't your dad. He never will be. I'm always going to be your dad weather you like it or not."

"What if I kill you?" He raised an eyebrow. "Then what?"

It'll make him come to his senses. Maybe. I hope it will. I nodded. "Do it then. If you have the balls."

Kyle felt his mouth drop open a bit. He shook his head. "I'm not like you." he muttered, soon running and disappearing into the woods.

"Kyle!" I called after him, shifting and trying to follow his scent. "Kyle please!"

"Go away!" He yelled, trying to disappear into the woods.
