Tainted Honor

"Oh thanks." I looked at her, rolling my eyes.

"Can you play with me today big brother?" Emma looked up at him, smiling.

"What?" I laughed. "I'm being honest."

"no!" He snapped, kicking her and sending her flying into the wall. "You're not the only damn thing I care about in the world!"

"Honesty hurts." I laughed softly.

Jazzy hit hard, her picture flying out of her hand. "P-please Kyle?" She was shaking. Just wanting her brother to spend time with her.

"Something.." I stopped. I heard something hit the wall. "I'll be back." I shook my head, slowly poking my head downstairs. -Get Kyle and get him outside now.- I ran downstairs, pulling Jasmine up in my arms. I could see where she'd hit the hardest. It was about to start bleeding at any second. Next thing I knew she was being ripped from my arms and thrown to the ground, Kyle kicking her again and then hitting her a couple of times.

I ran downstairs, nearly choking but managing to keep myself together well enough to grab Kyle, stopping him from causing any further damage. I hauled him outside, but it was a tough job. "Kyle what the hell that's your sister!" I snapped.

Jasmine's small and fragile bones didn't stand well after all of that. A couple broke, one of her arms and one of her legs. A nearly broken rib, bruised for sure. She was crying until she passed out.

"Jaz..." I pulled her back up, holding her close to me. "hunnie." I kissed her softly, carrying her back up and laying her in her bed. Starting to wrap her arm and leg. I'd get Josh later but I wasn't going outside with Kyle at the moment.

"She's annoying as hell!" He screamed. "She never leaves me alone and just - I wish she was never born!"

"Kyle you don't mean that.." I stared at him. "You love her don't you?"

"no." He growled. "The only person that loves me is Taylor. You and Mom only love her."

"Kyle that's not true!" I shook my head. Huffing. "You realized I killed my little sister right? She was seven. Seven. I killed my sister when she was seven for no god damn reason other than I was mad. Her name was Jazzy too actually. Every fucking day I live with that Kyle. Every day. I'm trying to save you from the pain I'm going through but I don't know why you won't listen!"

"I'm done listening." He said calmly. Collected for some unknown reason. "I didn't know how to tell you but I'm leaving. I can't live with the way she's treated like some god-damn princess then I come home and it's just like oh hey there's the fuck up son. I'm leaving with Taylor. That's why I've been spending so much time with her."

"Kyle what?" I stared at him. "She.. we care about you just as much as her Kyle." I struggled to find my words. He.. couldn't leave. I couldn't live with myself if he did.

"Bullshit you all love me." He looked away. "You can't stop me if I tried anyway."

"Please Kyle Please don't leave.. I know how your feeling because I felt this way too and I left and I regret it still.. We'll try to make you feel more loved but I promise we love you just the same." I stared at him.

"Don't." He warned. "Don't start with me. Not today. I'm not your son anymore and don't treat me like I am."

"Just." I looked away, swallowing hard. "What did I do?"

"Nothing." He lied. "You ruined the happy life I had with Patch then killed him in front of me? You despise every second I spend with Taylor and then bitch at me to spend time with my annoying as hell sister."

I was quiet for a minute. My whole chest hurt. I was chewing on the inside of my cheek and soon tasted blood. "Well." I took a breath. "I'm. Sorry I took your happy life. I didn't know you were happier there." I spoke quietly.

"Yeah well a little late now." He huffed, turning and leaving into the city streets, slowly disappearing.

-Get Josh? Jaz.. he hurt her pretty bad.- I finally tried, sick from hearing her whimper in her sleep.

-Y..Yeah.- I swallowed hard. I screwed up. Harley was right. I should had just... left him with patch. He was happier there and I knew it even when he seemed happy here. He just.. didn't love us anymore. Patch took that away and I would never be able to get it back. I walked to Emma's house, knocking on the door. Not long after I knocked the small shakes that ran through my body became much larger and I couldn't stand. I slumped against the wall.

"Daniel?" Josh crouched by him, tapping his face slightly. "Daniel what happened?"

"Just.. go to my house and find Harley.." I choked out. "Please."

"Okay. I'll have Em take a look at you." He got up, going inside and quickly telling her about Daniel, then running back to our place. "Harley?" He yelled.

"Upstairs." I replied, hearing him nearly run up the stairs. The second he walked into the room I just started crying, begging for him to fix her.

"Daniel what's up?" Emma had managed to get him on the couch inside.

"No. I can't." I shook my head.

"You can't what?" She sighed.

"Tell you. I can't I won't." My whole body shook.

"Okay you don't have to. You need anything?"

"Yes..." I shook my head. "No."

Josh started fixing her, her tiny body slowly snapping back into place. "You should go check on Daniel. He's at Emma's house. I'll stay here encase she wakes."

"I can't." I shook my head. "She'll ne-"

"He needs you too." He grabbed my arm, popping me to Emma's house then just flat up disappearing again.

"Daniel?" I sat down, rubbing his hand. "Baby talk to me."

"I can't." I shook my head. "Please no." I started crying. Sobbing. Hiding my face in my hands. "Just.. Like me.."

Jasmine woke up, shivering in the cold. Shaking in fear. She had tears rolling down her cheeks, overall just not good. "Where's big brother?"
