What's Left of Us

"I didn't... something. I was just walking. And something started calling me there. Adele.. it's got power. It's like a rush. I wish I could give it to you but I don't want it hurting you." Drake tried.

Adele nodded, walking over and sitting on the couch, flipping the TV on and trying to find something to watch. Anything.

Drake sat up a bit, trying to stay awake for her. He looked at the stitches on her fingers, fighting back tears. This was his fault. "I need to go. I'm so sorry baby." He kissed her, then got up, going back to the mine shaft. "What the hell was that."

Adele looked up at him and watched him leave, sighing. Whenever he left then came back.. something bad happened. What was next? She turned off the TV, getting up and climbing into bed, pulling the covers up and wishing Drake was there.

"That was a little bit of fun. Anyway. Sam is set to be killed in 3 days at midnight, impatient one." The Darkness voiced.

"Impatient.. " Drake shook his head. "How come you did that so quick?"

"Did what? Get Sam set up? I did it because you did... mostly everything I asked of you." The Darkness chuckled a little.

"Oh. Just. Please. Don't make me hurt her again." Drake was practically begging.

"Oh no. I was actually going to propose you ask her on a date in town. With Sam gone and you the new ruler... it'll be a great night." He said smoothly.

Drake stared for a second. "So. Three days? My fucktard of a brother dies? Then I become the ruler?"

"Yep. Like I promised. See child. I keep my word." he laughed.

"Why do I need you." Drake said softly. "Every second I'm not here or you're not in my head I'm craving you almost. I don't know what to do anymore without you."

"You don't have to worry about that anymore. I can do what I did last night. Only forever. And of course... give you control when you don't need me." He would be smirking if he had a face. He had Drake hooked. Wrapped around his finger.

"I don't WANT to need you." Drake said louder. "I want to be your friend but I don't want to be your dog."

"If I'm sharing your body like last night. I'll take second in command as someone might say. I'll just guide you in killing sam. Then you can just call when you need me. Hell, I'll be like your dog. Don't you want to make people listen to you? Do everything you want? I can help with that Drake. All you have to do is let me."

Drake don't do it. He's bad for you. But he agreed anyway. "Just don't make me hurt Adele." He said before leaving, climbing in bed next to Adele.
